Pina Colada cupcakes!

For my mom's 60th birthday, I made her pina colada cupcakes! She loves pina colada and this recipe from Wilton is fantastic!

My sister and I surprised my mom by flying in my grandmother, one of her sisters, and my cousin Kate. She was so happy to have her family with her for her big 6-0 :)

Winter themed cupcakes!

My sister had a internal bake sale/ competition between groups. She asked me to make something for her to sell. I found these recipes in my "What's New Cupcake?" book.

My friend Mary helped me decorate these "Snowmen" cupcakes for the bake sale.

I made these "Coconut Polar Bear" cupcakes for the bake sale too.

These just might be my favorite yet. But I'm biased by my love of coconut!!

Strawberry cupcakes!

For a friend's engagement party, I made strawberry cupcakes with strawberry icing, decorated with chocolate covered strawberries. They were delicious!

Chocolate covered strawberries are so tasty :)

Castle cake!

For Neil's last day at work, my friends and I decided to embarrass him with a castle cake! We succeeded. His department called him "Princess Neil" for the rest of the day.

I'm sure he really appreciated that we waited until his last day to make this cake!!

"Larry the Turkey" cupcakes!

For Thanksgiving, I made "Larry the Turkey" from "Hello Cupcake". I love Larry the turkey. I want to make him every year for thanksgiving :)

Unfortunately for Larry, my cupcake container wasn't very nice and he got smooched! He also didn't survive the car ride to my friends. Most of the turkey heads fell off on the ride over. I should have used toothpicks to secure them. Next time I will!!

Everyone got their own turkey named after them :)

I'm not sure why blogger won't let me rotate this image :(

Periodic Table of cupcakes!

For my friend Alyssa's birthday, Mary and I made her a periodic table of cupcakes! She's a chemist and loved it! She had to share with the entire chemistry department because there was no way she would finish them herself! Even if they are only mini cupcakes :)

We split the cupcakes into metals, non-metals, etc. and give them different flavors and icing combinations. There were vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate cupcakes with either vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry icing. A piece of Hersey's chocolate was used to show the "element symbol".
